The house asked for a soft rounded sans and pastel gradients. The set has one face for the grid, and eight colours at full strength, shot at black. A pastel is a tint, and a tint is a ninth colour; a gradient never broadcasts. What the house owns instead is the discipline the imitators skip: the grid, the eight, and a clock that is right.

The house asked for a photograph of the auditorium. No photograph broadcasts — the set draws with sixty-three blocks. The auditorium at the top of page 100 is made of them: curtains, screen, and eighteen seats. It weighs nothing and never loads slowly.

The house asked for a marquee that scrolls the titles across the page. Nothing on the set scrolls by itself: rows arrive, attributes change. The titles hold still on page 200, where they can be read; the one moving thing this week is the red seats line, and STEADY holds it.

Every character keeps its ink. Only the room changes.
